Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of DSAR Desk (dsar.klairlabs.com), operated by Klair Technology Solutions Private Limited (Klair Labs), Hyderabad, India. By creating an account or using the public intake form, you agree to them.
DSAR Desk is a workflow tool that logs requests and calculates a deadline based on the law you select. It is not legal advice, and using it does not by itself make your business compliant with GDPR, CCPA, DPDP or any other law. You remain responsible for determining which laws apply to your business, verifying requesters' identities appropriately, and actually responding within the deadline. If you're unsure what applies to you, talk to a lawyer — this is exactly the kind of judgment call the product's internal 30-day default (used for DPDP and any other unlisted jurisdiction, since neither has a single settled statutory figure the way GDPR and CCPA do) exists to flag as an assumption, not a certainty. See our deadline guide for the detail, including why DPDP specifically isn't given a hard day-count.
1. What the service is
DSAR Desk gives you a public link your customers can use to submit data-subject requests (access, deletion, correction, opt-out). It calculates a response deadline from the law the requester selects, tracks status, and lets you log requests that arrive by other channels (email, phone, post) so every deadline lives in one place.
2. Accounts
There are no passwords — you sign in with a one-time link emailed to you. You're responsible for keeping access to that email address secure; anyone who can read your email can sign in as you. Tell us immediately at hello@klairtech.com if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else.
3. Plans and billing
Three plans, kept identical here to what's described on the pricing section of the homepage — if the two ever disagree, that's a bug in one of them, not two different offers.
- Free — $0. Unlimited jurisdictions on the intake form, deadline tracking and email reminders, one property, one team member (you), CSV export and a 30-day audit log. The plan is built around 3 requests logged per calendar month, no card required — a 4th request in the same month is still accepted and deadline-tracked, never turned away at the form, since a real statutory request is your obligation regardless of which plan you're on. Past 3 in a month, you'll get a note that Pro removes the count entirely.
- Pro — $39/month or $389/year (that's $79 less per year than paying monthly — stated as an exact number here, not just "2 months free"). Everything in Free plus unlimited requests, up to 10 properties, up to 3 team seats, a calendar (ICS) feed, your logo and accent colour on the intake page, editing the built-in response templates, Developer API access, and priority email support.
- Premium — $79/month or $790/year (2 months free, exactly). Everything in Pro, plus unlimited team seats, custom intake fields, and your own response templates beyond the built-in five.
- Both paid plans are billed in INR through Razorpay at a fixed rate shown at checkout; the amount you're actually charged is what Razorpay's checkout displays, not a converted estimate.
- You can cancel at any time from the billing section of your workspace; you keep paid access through the end of the period you've already paid for. We don't currently offer refunds for partial periods.
- Prices may change with notice on this page; changes apply to your next billing cycle, not retroactively.
4. Your responsibilities
- You are the data controller for the requests that come through your intake link — DSAR Desk processes that data on your instructions, as described in our Privacy Policy. Verifying requester identity, deciding how to respond, and actually responding is your obligation, not ours.
- You won't use DSAR Desk to harass, spam, or send anything unrelated to an actual data-subject request through the intake form or its email notifications.
- You won't attempt to resell or sub-license access to the product itself.
- You're responsible for the accuracy of the business name and any branding you upload — don't impersonate another business.
5. Deadlines and legal accuracy
The day-counts DSAR Desk applies (GDPR 30 days, CCPA 45 days, DPDP/other 30 days as a working default) reflect our best understanding of the relevant statutes at the time of writing, kept consistent with the citations in our deadline guide. Laws change, extensions and exceptions exist that the tool doesn't model, and DPDP in particular does not have a single confirmed statutory count the way GDPR and CCPA do. Treat every deadline shown as a working default to verify against your own legal advice, not a guarantee.
6. Availability
We aim to keep DSAR Desk available and will try to give notice of planned downtime, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. If the service is unavailable near a deadline you're tracking, that doesn't extend your legal deadline — keep your own record of dates you can't afford to lose.
7. Termination
You can stop using DSAR Desk at any time; email hello@klairtech.com to have your account and its data deleted, per our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates section 4, or that we reasonably believe is being used for abuse, fraud, or to circumvent the free-tier limits described in section 3. Once your intake link stops working, tell your own customers where to send requests instead.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
DSAR Desk is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Klair Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including a missed statutory deadline, a regulatory penalty, or a dispute with a requester — these depend on your own compliance decisions, which the service supports but does not make for you. Our total liability for any claim relating to DSAR Desk is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose (which is $0 on the Free plan).
9. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms materially, we'll update the date at the top and, where practical, notify account holders by email. Continued use after a change means you accept the update.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be handled in the courts with jurisdiction over Klair Labs' registered location , unless local consumer-protection law gives you a right to a different forum.
